TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Equipment Condition
• Damage must be reported before leaving / pickup location.
• Old Sac Rentals may photograph equipment before and after rental.
2. Rental Period
• Equipment must be returned by agreed date/time.
• 2–4 hours late: up to 25% daily rate may apply.
• Over 4 hours late: additional full day charged.
• Failure to return equipment will result in recovery action.
3. Deposits & Charges
Deposits may be used for:
• Damage or repairs
• Missing parts
• Excessive cleaning
• Late fees
Deposits are processed on the same day of the return of the rental and typically refunded within 2–4 business days depending on your financial institution.
4. Renter Responsibility
The renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment during the rental period including damage, theft, or loss.
Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Old Sac Rentals from claims, injury, damages, or legal actions resulting from use.
5. Prohibited Use
Equipment may NOT be used for:
• Illegal activity
• Racing or reckless use
• Transporting hazardous materials
• Overloading beyond rated capacity
• Operation while impaired
Equipment may not be modified, subleased, or loaned without permission.
6. Trailer Terms
For trailer rentals renter agrees to:
• Ensure tow vehicle is properly rated
• Verify hitch, safety chains, and lights prior to departure and after each stop
• Secure loads properly
• Not exceed trailer capacity
Only renters with a valid license listed may tow or pickup trailers unless approved.
7. Equipment Operation
Renter agrees to operate equipment safely and according to intended use.
Equipment must be returned reasonably clean. Excessive dirt or misuse may result in cleaning fees.
8. Accidents / Damage
Renter must immediately notify Old Sac Rentals if equipment is damaged, stolen, malfunctioning, or involved in an accident.
Renter remains responsible for equipment until returned and inspected.
9. Insurance & Risk
For trailer rentals, renters must maintain adequate vehicle insurance.
Old Sac Rentals is not responsible for accidents, vehicle damage, personal injury, or loss of personal property.
10. Legal Terms
• Governed by California law
• Disputes handled in Sacramento County, CA
